This is a new honor that will be awarded annually by Case Status to law firm customers who achieve practice level client satisfaction ratings that are considered “Excellent” or “World-Class” as measured by the Net Promoter Scoring (NPS) methodology. It looks at the previous 12 months and the client satisfaction scores received by the firm on the Case Status platform.

Why is Case Status honoring firms?
Client satisfaction is a core value of the Case Status solution as we automatically measure client satisfaction. Starting with each individual client, we help the firm score client satisfaction for each from zero to 10. At the firm level, we aggregate the individual scores and use Net Promoter Scoring to measure satisfaction overall. Case Status firms average 2x better than the industry and we seek to honor the best of the best!

‍What is Net Promoter Score (NPS)?
NPS has been used in many industries to easily measure client satisfaction since it was introduced by Fred Reichheld, a partner at Bain & Company, in 2003. It subtracts the percentage of promoters (scores of 9s and 10s) from the percentage of detractors (scores of 6 and below) to give the firm a rating from (-)100 to (+100).

‍What is Excellent?
Amazon's Net Promoter Score (NPS) last year was 73, which is considered world-class by global standards. The legal industry average has oscillated between 20-40 in the last 5 years (considered fair or ok, the same as the airline industry.) Case Status firms average above 60 which is 2x the 5 year average and is considered Excellent in the NPS methodology! To denote the best of the best for this award, a score of 60 higher is the high standard! The Case Status Excellence in Client Satisfaction Award celebrates those firms at this level.

‍Award Criteria -
The Case Status Excellence in Client Satisfaction Award looks at the previous 12 months and is earned by those firms who (1) are active Case Status customers, (2) have invited their full active clients to the platform and (3) have maintained an average score of 60 or higher as measured by NPS for those previous 12 months.
