For nearly a decade, the Case Status® client app has helped law firm clients stay informed, connected, and confident throughout their case. Since 2018, the app has earned a 4.9-star rating across more than 60,000 App Store and Google Play reviews, one client at a time.
Today, we're proud to announce the phased launch of the all-new Client Mobile Experience, aka the 5-star Mobile App you know and love. Welcome to the next chapter of your app, refreshed for the future of client experience.

Built for client experience by design
The new experience represents more than a year of focused work: 100s of requests and use case optimization, and over 35,000 lines of new code. It's a rewrite on a modern technical foundation, paired with a fully revamped visual design. It’s the same Case Status app on the App Store.

The result is an experience that puts the firm, the case, the legal team, the to-do list, and the next step always one tap away.
A measured rollout
When you have a 5-star app for so many years, you might ask the question, “Why change it?” The truth is, the modern consumer is constantly evolving, and we invest heavily to stay with that evolution. We also take the client relationship as seriously as our family of firms does. That is why we are rolling out the new experience in phases.
Phase one begins with a small subset of iOS downloaders being served the new experience over the next few days. As usability metrics confirm the experience is performing as expected, we'll steadily expand coverage on iOS until all new downloads are on the new experience. Android is also planned soon after the iOS App reaches 100% of new downloads.
For users and firms, the good news is it's the same Case Status app on the App Store. Once we reach the full deployment, clients with automatic updates enabled will receive the new version. Also once we reach full deployment, anyone who wants the new experience immediately can simply update from the App Store directly once we reach full deployment. The legacy experience will not stop working either, so users will be able to migrate at their own pace.
This phased approach is intentional. It protects the 4.9-star bar that earned our customer firms' trust, allows us to learn from real users, and brings the rest of the population along confidently.
What this means for your firm
Every active Case Status customer firm, and every future firm, receives the new Client Mobile Experience as part of their existing solution. No SKU change, no tier change, no upcharge.
Case Status University and your Customer Success team have prepared video walkthroughs, in-app explainers, and templated client messages your firm can use to introduce the new experience to active clients or re-engage alumni from closed cases. Materials are timed to match each phase of the rollout, so you'll always have what you need on the day your clients see the change.
Looking ahead
This launch lays the groundwork for the AI-powered Client Intelligence™ capabilities that Case Status is building into the broader platform. The Client Mobile Experience is the foundation we're betting on for what client experience looks like next: more intuitive, faster, and ready to carry the intelligent capabilities our firms are starting to deploy across the rest of the platform.

Note: The all-new app requires iOS 17 or later. A small portion of users on older iOS versions will continue on the legacy app (v2.8) until they upgrade their device's operating system.
